4 days until I leave!!!
In four days (Tuesday, the 10th of March) I'm driving up to Utah with my lovely mom and younger sister, D'kota. The next day I report to the MTC to start my mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! I'm super excited--you can't really tell when you talk to me, because I'm trying to not overdo anything at this point. A week ago I was so emotional because I kept dwelling on the fact that I wouldn't see my family for 18 months, but I know that this is what I'm meant to do. The Lord will be with me and that's what will get me through the next year and a half of my life. I'll come back and I'll see them again and all will be well!
While I'm gone, my favorite sister-in-law, Kristen (:D), has volunteered to update this blog for me. She is amazing, to say the least! Not only has she given birth to my nephew and niece, but she's married to my brother, Daryl. :) I give her all power to do with this blog what she wants--she can change it and update it and post pictures and whatever else you can do on this.
I'm so grateful to have been given this opportunity to serve a mission. I don't think my mind has wrapped around just how hard it's going to be, but I'm a better visual learner anyway. I was told once that this won't be the best two years of your life, it'll be the best two years for your life. And in my case, obviously, it's 18 months, but the prinicple still applies. I hope I can share my testimony with many people, and that they feel of the Spirit of the Lord, just as I have.
I'll see you in 18 months! Much love!
